AWS Solution Architect@Madison, WI(Onsite)

Position Overview: Are you a seasoned Solutions Architect with a passion for cutting-edge technology and solving complex challenges? We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team and lead the architecture assessment and modernization of a mission-critical Payment Management System. This system handles a range of payment processes including ACH, credit cards, debit, refunds, and AutoPay, and integrates with various internal and external financial systems.
In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with stakeholders to understand legacy systems, create a modern, cloud-native architecture, and define a comprehensive modernization roadmap. Your work will ensure the system is secure, scalable, cost-efficient, and poised for the future.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Architectural Leadership: Lead the design and modernization of a critical Payment Management System, transitioning from legacy to cutting-edge cloud architecture.
• System Analysis & Documentation: Reverse-engineer and document current systems, understanding legacy functionality and architecture.
• Integration Mapping: Identify and map integration touchpoints with internal and external systems, producing comprehensive dependency and integration reports.
• Cloud Strategy: Recommend and implement cloud-agnostic modernization strategies using AWS to ensure scalability and efficiency.
• Modernization Blueprint: Develop a robust modernization blueprint, including architecture diagrams, reference architecture, and a strategic roadmap.
• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure a phased, seamless migration with minimal disruption to operations.
Key Requirements:
• Experience: 10+ years in enterprise architecture, with 3+ years of hands-on AWS microservices experience.
• Legacy Modernization: Proven background in legacy system assessments, redesigning systems, and implementing cloud-native solutions.
• Digital Payments Expertise: In-depth understanding of digital payments, including ACH, credit card, debit, and AutoPay systems, as well as their integration.
• Security & Compliance: Familiarity with PCI DSS, NACHA standards, and data security practices.
• Technical Skills: Strong documentation, reverse-engineering, and system analysis skills.
• Leadership & Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and collaborate across teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional).
• Credit Card Processor Migration: Experience migrating to or working with credit card processors.
• Financial Sector Experience: A background in banking, insurance, or financial services.
• Optimization Expertise: Skilled in designing high-availability, cost-optimized architectures.
