JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking self-starters who are highly motivated, efficient, professional, communicative, and able to contribute to the team on day one. As a BI developer on our team, you will participate in the development of Tableau Analytical Dashboards, Workbooks, KPI’s, Extracts and Cognos Framework Manager Models, reports, cubes, and implementation of overall BI solutions.JOB DUTIES (Detailed Statement of Duties and Responsibilities):

Interacting with technical teams and development resources to help translate requirements into BI solutions, reports, and dashboards.Create complex formulas and calculations within Tableau to meet the needs of complex business logic and good knowledge on Level of Detail Expressions.Experience with creation of users, groups, projects, workbooks and the appropriate permission sets for Tableau server logons and security checks.Creates effective Business Intelligence (BI) solutions and analytical dashboards / analytical tools for business users in Tableau.Build and publish customized interactive Tableau reports and dashboards along with data refresh scheduling using Tableau Desktop and Tableau ServerCreate Tableau Scorecards, Dashboards using stack bars, bar graphs, scattered plots, geographical maps, line/pie graphs, and Gantt chartsPerform detailed data analysis (i.e., determine the structure, content, and quality of the data through examination of source systems and data samples)Create reports using a variety of graphical and data modelling techniquesCreate new KPIs and monitor them consistently in datasetsEffectively utilizes features and Best Practices of Tableau and visual analytics to maximize impact and utility of visualization productsCreate, test, and publish dashboards and reports, as well as schedule refreshesSchedule & Monitor Daily, Weekly, Monthly Reports Factored upon Data Refresh Cycles and server contention.Security administration, release management, troubleshooting and general systems maintenanceAnalyze business requirements and write technical specifications for BI tools like Tableau and Cognos to develop Reports, Extracts, Dashboards, Cognos Cubes, Framework Manager PackagesDevelop Cognos & Tableau content, specifically Reports in Report Studio, Cognos Cubes using Transformer, Events in Event Studio, Extracts, Visualizations and Workbooks in Tableau

REQUIRED SKILLS (Special Skill Set, Abilities, Knowledge):

Advanced knowledge of reports performance optimization; Perform Development and support activities across a multi-environment Tableau.Experience with creation of users, groups, projects, workbooks and the appropriate permission sets for Tableau server logons and security checksDemonstrated expertise in developing and operating Tableau-driven dashboards and analyticsThe ability to query and show massive data sets while optimizing workbook performanceStrong DW-BI Skills; Data modeling and advanced Reporting experienceExtensive experience in Cognos & Tableau portal functionalityExperience in development of Framework Manager Models, Query Packages and Report studio ReportsExtensive Knowledge in Oracle, SQL Server SQL writing skillsStrong problem solving & analytical skillsKnowledge of ETL & Snowflake Concepts

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Years’ Experience, Certificates):

BS in Computer Science, related degree, or equivalent experienceCloud (AWS and Azure) Technologies and Storage Expert level skills in the following suite of data analysis and visualization tools: Data Extraction languages such as SQL. Proficiency with relational databases or Big Data platforms and Data Visualization packages (Tableau, Cognos etc.).Extraordinary analytical skills, coupled with the ability to form hypotheses and draw meaningful insights from disparate data sources. The ability to understand data, process it, extract value from it, visualize it and communicate insights to audiences of various backgrounds, including senior managementExperience with TOAD is preferred. Experience with Medicaid or Health care data is preferred
