Job Title: Oracle PeopleSoft FSCM Consultant
Location: Sacramento, CA (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)
Introduction
The consultant will act as a Senior IT Developer and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the legacy Oracle PeopleSoft FSCM application. This role will provide technical leadership for an on-premises FSCM upgrade, cross-functional activities within the data center, and ongoing maintenance and operations tasks, including application validation, disaster recovery, process automation, and research into emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a blended team of state staff and consultants throughout the FSCM upgrade and related initiatives.
✅ Collaboration with Implementation Partners: Work closely with selected partners to ensure their deliverables align with CalPERS standards and requirements.
✅ System Assessment: Analyze CalPERS’s current PeopleSoft setup to identify potential challenges and support a smooth upgrade process.
✅ Feature and Functionality Analysis: Support planning, directing, and validating upgrade tasks and processes.
✅ Training & Knowledge Transfer: Provide hands-on training and documentation to CalPERS state staff, enabling them to effectively manage and operate the updated platform.
✅ Post-Migration Support: Ensure system stability, performance, and user adaptability post-upgrade.
✅ Reporting & Compliance: Submit weekly status reports and ensure all work complies with CalPERS ITSB policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Required Qualifications
✔ Minimum 15 years of experience as an Oracle PeopleSoft developer providing legacy support.
✔ Proven experience with Oracle Fusion implementations, migrations, and data cleanup.
✔ 10+ years developing data archiving strategies and implementations for Oracle PeopleSoft HCM.
✔ 10+ years of expertise in consolidation and migration of data to new cloud-based platforms.
✔ 10+ years supporting Oracle Cloud products and SaaS environments.
✔ 10+ years supporting Oracle databases and related infrastructure.
