II. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Developer/Programmer Analyst 3 will perform senior-level web services development and system integration work, including:
- Plan, design, develop, test, integrate, and document software applications
- Analyze and evaluate user requests for new or modified applications
- Develop functional and technical specifications, including feasibility, cost, and time estimates
- Consult with business users to understand current processes and clarify objectives
- Apply structured analysis, object-oriented design, and SDLC best practices
- Develop and execute system and integration test plans
- Coordinate defect tracking, validation, and resolution
- Support database-related activities including SQL development and stored procedures
- Participate in peer reviews and cross-team collaboration
- Lead or guide technical efforts and independently manage complex tasks
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience, demonstrate strong judgment, and work with minimal supervision.
III. REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements (Required – 8 Years Each)
- Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience
- SQL programming and Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
- Java and J2EE development with relational databases
- Web Services, RAD, and IBM WebSphere
- Oracle-based stored procedures and database applications
- System and integration testing experience
- Test planning, defect management, and validation
- Data structures and data migration/conversion/transformation
- Relational and multidimensional database design
- Requirements analysis and feasibility assessments
- User consultation and process analysis
- Structured analysis and object-oriented development methodologies
- Strong collaboration across development, QA, and business teams
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with HHSC systems
