Position: SAP SuccessFactors EC Payroll Functional Consultant
Location: NYC, NY (Hybrid)
Duration: Long Term
Responsibilities:
· Provide end-to-end production support for a complex union based daily payroll lifecycle environment comprising of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, Employee Central Payroll, and hours to gross Time Management systems with 100+ interfaces
· Review periodic SAP notes/patches/HRSP, evaluate and apply to SAP SuccessFactors landscape.
· Evaluate TUBs as delivered by BSI and coordinate prod deployment.
· Configure, customize and implement new Payroll modules/functionality as required
· Produce solution design, documentation, and successful delivery of Employee Central Payroll with expert attention to all architectural qualities for an effectively working SuccessFactors Human Resource (HCM) system.
· Plan, manage, deliver, implement, support, administer and/or monitor SAP integration solutions and middleware for on-premise, cloud or hybrid scenarios
· Monitor batch jobs and address production support issues
· Understand business requirement, develop detailed functional design, create test plan and help production deployment
· Coordinate activities of team with other teams within the IT function
· Implements the solution based on functional specification and resolves issues independently in the areas of own skills.
· Ensures technical objects are smoothly imported to UAT and eventually in Production by checking dependencies and sequence.
· Part of development team for production support but the main focus is with Payroll functional consultation.
Qualifications/Skills
Basic Qualifications:
· Minimum 8 years of experience in working with payroll/HR departments that depend on a large, complex SAP SuccessFactors Employee central payroll system.
· Extensive experience in configuring and custom development with excellent ECP functional skills.
· Deep knowledge on SAP EC payroll configurations, wage type setups, BSI tax setup including Tax factory and Tax Profile Factory
· Hands-On experience integrating multiple systems like ADP, Bank, SAP FI, 3PR, and PCC functionalities
· Demonstrated ability in understanding of the Payroll & HR business area(s) including related policies, procedures, and specific business practices
· Experience in working with HCM, FI RICEF objects.
· Experience applying HRSP and BSI updates and patches to SuccessFactors ECP applications.
· Knowledge of the SuccessFactors HXM suite of application, Payroll Command Center and EC to ECP replication
· Ability to write functional specifications, program, test, and manage the transition of modifications through the quality assurance and change control process
· Experience working with GL integration with multiple ERP finance systems including ECC, and Oracle EBS
· Good knowledge about the Benefits Module, Time Management, Payroll Related Info types, Payroll status record, Payroll control record, posting data to FI.
· Working knowledge in all SAP development tools and methodologies, including ABAP workbench, BAPI/IDOC, ALE, Reports, Workflow, Smartforms, ABAP upgrade, enhancement technique.
· Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Additional Qualifications:
· Knowledge of union payroll is preferred
· Proficiency in SAP security and basis admin function
· Demonstrated problem solving skills, as well as continuous process improvement skills
· Strong understanding of software development life cycle
· Strong communication and inter personal skills
· Strong production support troubleshooting skills
· Ability to work independently, to prioritize tasks effectively in a collaborative environment with shared resources
· SAP certification is a big plus
