Cyber Threat Analyst
Location: Washington, DC

Type: 6 month Contract to Hire



No job description here but it’s a hot need for this client and they’re looking to move quickly on the right individual. Communication and presentation need to be perfect. Non-profit experience is preferred

Client: The Aspen Institute  

Location: This person can be hybrid out of their DC or Aspen office locations (2 days a week in office)

Target Start Date: ASAP

Citizenship Status: USC and GC Holder Only (No EAD’s)

Interview Process: 2 virtual interviews

Background check required before start date: Yes



Top Skills:

  • Holistic cyber analyst who can manage the cyber program at Aspen
  • Threat Intel, Incident Response, Security Awareness, Pen Testing, Vulnerability Management, Encryption.\ rapid7 and zerofox
  • Senior, independently-driven person who can manage the security / threat program who is more strategic and provides reasonable security recommendations that he/she can improve.
  • Good experience with Incident response
  • Not someone who is heavily process driven
  • A Sr PEN tester or someone coming out of a SOC who wants a bigger picture role.

 They'd report to the Director of Infrastructure & Operations and be the most senior-level person on the team.  No direct reports, but access to a team of four other engineers who all do some level of Network/Server/InfoSec work. 



Current tools at Aspen –

  • zero fox for threat intel
  • rapid7 for breach detection
  • big platforms they are using: fortinet at firewall, crowdstrike for malware and endpoint, acunetix for vulnerability scanning
