Position: Data Analyst

Location: Columbus OH (Onsite)

Note: Property & Casualty Insurance domain required

Job description:

• The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data profiling, analysis, and data modeling.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and familiarity with tools such as SQL Developer, TOAD for Oracle, D Beaver, and Erwin.
• The role requires experience in building data mapping requirements and effectively handing them off to build teams.
• A solid understanding of AWS services, particularly S3 and Athena, is essential.
• Extract, clean, and transform data from various sources to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
• Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data analysis and reporting.
• Work with AWS S3 for data storage and retrieval; use AWS Athena for querying large datasets.
• Compare datasets using tools such as Beyond Compare or similar utilities.
• Create and maintain detailed data mapping documents; collaborate with ETL teams to clarify requirements.
• Participate in the Amigo process to communicate Data Analyst requirements to build teams.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, understand, and deliver on data requirements.
• Document data definitions, relationships, and data flows to support data governance and transparency.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
