Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Back End Architect with deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design and architecture of cloud-native, scalable, and distributed systems in a mission-critical enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and design microservices-based backend systems using Java & Spring Boot.
• Define standards and best practices for scalable and resilient cloud deployments.
• Collaborate closely with DevOps, product, and development teams to deliver cloud-native applications.
• Lead API design, service integration, and distributed system optimization.
• Ensure observability, security, and performance across the architecture.
• Mentor developers and guide teams in adopting modern backend technologies and patterns.
• Work with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services to deploy and manage applications.

Must-Have Skills:

• 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience
• 5+ years in microservices architecture
• At least 2 years of experience in GCP (deployment, services, architecture)
• Strong with Spring Boot, REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with distributed systems, caching, event-driven architecture
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, DevSecOps, and cloud infrastructure best practices
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL database technologies

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on with GCP services (e.g., GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL)
• Familiarity with service mesh (Istio), event sourcing, and DDD patterns
• GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Associate Cloud Engineer)
• Experience in modernization or legacy transformation projects
• Understanding of Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) integration patterns

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
