Skills: FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability
The Integration Architect is responsible for designing and governing the system integration architecture that connects applications, data, and services across the enterprise. This role ensures seamless interoperability between clinical and business systems, both on-premises and in the cloud.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Certification(s):
Certifications in integration platforms (e.g., HL7, FHIR, Mulesoft, Azure Integration Services), TOGAF preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and maintain the enterprise integration architecture, ensuring reliable data exchange across systems.
Define integration standards, frameworks, and reusable patterns to support digital and operational transformation.
Collaborate with application teams, cloud teams, and external vendors to ensure compliance with integration best practices.
Oversee and review interface designs for key platforms like Epic, ServiceNow, Workday, Sailpoint and others.
Support secure API lifecycle management and govern API usage across internal and external consumers.
Enable legacy modernization through effective integration strategies.
Skills and Competencies:
The candidate must possess well-developed and demonstrated skills including:
Deep understanding of integration patterns including API, messaging, ETL, and microservices
Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, and IHE
Familiarity with cloud-native integration tools and platforms
Strong problem-solving and system analysis skills
Ability to collaborate with infrastructure, security, and development teams
