Position: IT Engineer -Disaster Recovery/Cyber Mitagation Engineer

Location: Hartford, CT preferred/Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)

Duration: 6- months

Visa- GC/ GC EAD/ USC

Rate- 35-40/Hr C2C.

Job Description: 

Project description:

• Coordinate preparedness, work with LOB from application intake(Prioritizing DR Level, Application Status(Mission Critical vs. Secondary, Metrics, and Governance). They want someone who can come in and do it(they don’t want to train) Has working Knowledge in the Process from Application Intake to Testing and Documentation.
• Current Tools are Service Now BCM, AWS Services, Legacy OnPrem monitoring, and Rally. 1-2 yrs. with Disaster Recovery managing Availability Zones/Out of Region Availability and Cyber Event Restoration.
• Familiarity with AWS Services like LAMBDAs, backups with AWS and Rubrik. Security Awareness- do they know the difference of Restoring after a DR Incident vs. a Cyber Event. They work with a partner in the creation of Plans for Resiliency. This resource should be able to participate in the recommendations, setting up processes, testing/validation for offsite and Cloud restorations. Meeting or beating established SLA/SLOs…following best practices…AWS, Lambdas, and Active Directory.

Skills:

• Knowledge of application construction and tier level concepts
• 3+ years of IT and IT Disaster Resiliency experience
• 1+ years of IT Cyber Recovery experience and knowledge of cyber-attack affects on IT.
• Ability to capture and translate details, timelines, milestones, and process.
• 1+ years of experience working directly with AWS cloud practices and terminology.
• Excellent communication skills
• Team Player, ability to interact with multi-faceted IT teams.
