Job Description
We are looking for a Workday Extend Developer with a strong background in Workday Integrations and custom application development. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in Workday Extend, along with proficiency in Workday integrations and HR system implementations. This is a remote role, but candidates must be located within the US.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement custom applications and extensions using Workday Extend.
Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Collaborate with Workday functional teams to ensure seamless integration of custom solutions.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Develop and maintain technical documentation such as design specifications, test plans, and user guides.
Perform unit testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate custom solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to custom Workday applications and integrations.
Stay updated with Workday’s latest features to continuously enhance and optimize solutions.
Provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed Workday applications and extensions.
Required Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience in Workday Extend development.
Strong knowledge of Workday architecture and integration capabilities.
Hands-on experience with Workday Integrations (2-3 years).
Proficiency in JavaScript, XML, and XSLT for Workday custom development.
Experience working in an Agile environment and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Workday Extend certification or other relevant Workday certifications.
Experience with Workday Studio.
Familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs.
Knowledge of HR processes and systems.
Experience with Workday Prism (Nice to have).
Education & Industry Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Industry experience in Workday Extend HR implementations is required. Candidates without direct Workday Extend experience in HR implementations will not be considered.
