Applied AI Architect New York City, NY (Locals Only)

We have an immediate requirement for a high-impact Applied AI Architect role with a leading Financial Services client in New York City. This is a long-term contract opportunity for a hands-on Applied AI SME with deep expertise in Machine Learning, GenAI, RAG, Agentic Workflows, and production AI systems.

Position Details:

• Role: Applied AI Architect
• Location: New York City, NY (Locals Only)
• Hybrid: 3 Days Onsite / Week
• Duration: 12+ Months
• Interview: Zoom + In-Person

Key Skills Required:
• 15+ years of overall IT experience
• Strong Machine Learning and Applied AI background
• Python (core ML / mathematical foundation)
• PyTorch
• LangChain
• RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) – MUST
• Agentic Workflow orchestration
• LLMOps / GenAI Operations
• Document Extraction / Intelligent Document Processing
• Production AI systems experience
• Financial Services / Lending domain is a strong plus

What the Client is Looking For:
This is NOT a role for a developer who has simply learned how to use AI models. The client needs a true AI practitioner who has designed, built, and operated enterprise-grade AI workflows in live production environments and can drive architecture decisions as the SME.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
• Design reusable GenAI workflows across Lending business lines
• Build AI-powered document ingestion and extraction platforms
• Implement agentic assistants and workflow orchestration
• Establish LLMOps standards, monitoring, and governance
• Improve extraction accuracy, confidence scoring, and human-in-the-loop review processes
• Work directly with Strats, Operations, and Business stakeholders
