Description: OIT is seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to assist with our BI Program. Ideally will have expertise in the following technical areas:
Key Requirements:
Strong Power BI development experience
Requirements gathering and collaboration with business/data analysts
Intermediate/advanced Excel skills – complex formulas, Pivot Tables and data analysis
Conceptual, logical and physical data modeling
Power BI semantic models and reusable data models
Row-Level Security and Column-Level Security
Strong DAX – measures, calculated columns and custom calculations
Tabular Editor Best Practice Analyzer and DAX best practices
Table relationships and data structure optimization
Data connectivity with:APIs
BigQuery
ArcGIS map and feature layers
SQL databases
Excel files
Streaming datasets
Interactive reports and dashboards
Slicers, visuals and drill-through functionality
ArcGIS and streaming visuals
Power BI performance optimization
DAX Studio and Power BI performance tools
Power BI Service – publishing, access controls and scheduled refresh
Large dataset performance optimization
AI tools/AI technologies; Google AI experience is a plus
Azure DevOps and source/version control for Power BI files
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
Experience conducting meetings, screen-sharing sessions and working sessions
