Hands-on experience testing complex web applications
Texas State Education client experience is highly preferred
Job Description:
The Software QA Analyst performs advanced computer systems analysis and team lead work, administering the daily operations and activities of testing teams within the QA division of IT (Information Technology). Work involves planning, budgeting, and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems.
This position will work with the project development teams to provide the following Software Testing Services:
1) Analyze user requirements, design documents and other documentation to develop detailed test cases
2) Create and execute automated functional and regression test cases, report and document all issues, test cases ran, test results, and testing summaries in detail
3) Perform manual testing and data validation
4) Perform SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data
5) Work with development team and customers to clearly understand the functionality under test to define and implement test case automation and clearly communicate to the team
6) Execute performance and accessibility testing
Required Skills:
7+ years of experience testing complex web applications
Experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Strong SQL/Database experience
Automation testing using Java & TestNG
Experience creating automation frameworks using Playwright
Experience with JMeter, WAPT Pro, or other performance testing tools
Experience using GitHub Copilot or other AI tools to generate test scripts
Workflow-driven automation experience
Preferred Skills:
Atlassian Jira
Zephyr
Experience working with TEA or another State/Local Education Agency
