Senior Cockroach DB Architect / Database Architect

10+ years of experience in Database Administration, Database Engineering, or Database Architecture.
3+ years of hands-on experience with CockroachDB in enterprise production environments.
Strong expertise in distributed SQL databases and distributed systems architecture.
Experience designing and managing multi-region, geo-distributed database deployments.
Deep understanding of:
Replication
Consensus algorithms
Distributed transactions
Data consistency
Fault tolerance
High availability
Strong SQL performance tuning and query optimization skills.
Experience with Linux system administration.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, or similar.
Experience automating database operations using Bash, Python, or Go.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience migrating from Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or other RDBMS to Cockroach DB.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of cloud-native microservices architecture.
Experience with distributed application design.
CockroachDB certification is a plus.
