Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Business Analyst to support the implementation of Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS) for a large-scale public sector permitting modernization initiative. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Salesforce implementations, business process analysis, stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, Agile delivery, and translating complex business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions.
The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, developers, QA teams, and project managers to deliver innovative Salesforce-based solutions that improve permitting, licensing, inspections, regulatory compliance, and citizen services.
Key Responsibilities
Lead requirements discovery workshops with business users, technical teams, and executive stakeholders.
Analyze, document, and optimize current-state and future-state business processes.
Gather, analyze, validate, and prioritize business and functional requirements.
Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, process flows, and data mapping documents.
Support the design and implementation of Salesforce Public Sector Solutions, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, OmniStudio, Salesforce Flow, and related platform capabilities.
Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Developers, QA Engineers, and Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, story refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, and production validation activities.
Assist with legacy system analysis, data migration planning, and business data mapping.
Define role-based security requirements for internal users, external applicants, reviewers, consultants, inspectors, and system administrators.
Develop and maintain business process documentation, requirements traceability matrices (RTM), functional specifications, process maps, user guides, and training materials.
Support system integration discussions involving payment gateways, document management systems, external applications, and data warehouses.
Conduct change impact assessments and assist with organizational change management and user adoption initiatives.
Provide ongoing business support during deployment, hypercare, and post-production phases.
Ensure solution alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and Salesforce best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum 10+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting enterprise IT or CRM implementation projects.
Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience working on Salesforce implementation projects.
Strong experience with Salesforce Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Public Sector Solutions (PSS), and OmniStudio.
Proven ability to facilitate business workshops and gather complex business requirements.
Strong experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, and process documentation.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, sprint planning, backlog management, and UAT support.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in enterprise environments.
