Must be within driving distance to Dallas, Charlotte, Baltimore, Chicago, Wilmington or NYC for occasional office days.
Mandatory skills: AWS. Deep functional experience with EKS, Aurora, MSK, DBT, Airflow, and Flink is a strong plus, software engineering ,RDBMS ,SCRUM/Agile, gRPC or Kakfa, Python, Typescript, Scala, SQL. GraphQL, CI/CD pipelines Infrastructure-as-Code to automate delivery pipelines, agile delivery, and test-driven development.
Description
The Lead Software Engineer engages within a team of data professionals, covering the range of data-centric domains, building, governing, and operating data platforms. In this role you will provide embedded data professionals in product delivery teams. The Lead Software Engineer balances a strategy which leverages our current on-premises platforms while driving toward a cloud-first strategy, performing legacy data transformation.
Qualifications – Must Have
“A minimum of three years of hands-on cloud computing experience in AWS. Deep functional experience with EKS, Aurora, MSK, DBT, Airflow, and Flink is a strong plus”
1) A minimum of ten years of professional software engineering experience.
2) Direct, experience and significant professional experience with one or more programming languages such as but not limited to: Python, Typescript, Scala, SQL.
3) A minimum of three years of hands-on cloud computing experience in AWS. Deep functional experience with EKS, Aurora, MSK, DBT, Airflow, and Flink is a strong plus.
4) In-depth RDBMS development experience (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora).
5) Experienced in designing, implementing and CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code to automate delivery pipelines, agile delivery, and test-driven development.
6) Familiarity with a variety of programming styles (e.g., OO, functional) and in-depth knowledge of software design patterns is a strong plus.
7) Three of years’ experience with SCRUM/Agile/iterative methods
8) Experience with API and integration frameworks and patterns with GraphQL and one of the two; gRPC or Kakfa, etc.
9) Bachelor’s degree
