Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our client’s dynamic data team in Columbus, OH and Jersey City, NJ. The ideal candidate will have deep experience working with large-scale data pipelines and possess hands-on expertise in AWS cloud services, Databricks, PySpark, and Splunk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using Databricks and PySpark
• Implement and optimize data ingestion processes from various structured and unstructured data sources
• Build and manage ETL workflows on AWS (e.g., S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, Redshift)
• Integrate and utilize Splunk for real-time data monitoring and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver clean and curated datasets
• Ensure data security, quality, and governance standards are maintained
• Participate in code reviews and performance tuning

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong experience with Databricks and PySpark
• Proficient in AWS cloud ecosystem (S3, Lambda, Glue, EMR, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with Splunk for data monitoring and operational intelligence
• Solid background in ETL/ELT development and data warehousing concepts
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
• Familiarity with data modeling, data lakes, and real-time processing
