Job Title: Test Data Engineer (Automation Testing)

Contract

Location: Wilmington DE/Plano, TX (Onsite)

Job Description:

1. Data Analysis & Profiling

• Understanding data structures, relationships, and dependencies.
• Using tools to analyze data quality, completeness, and relevance.
• Identifying sensitive data and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

2. Data Masking & Obfuscation

• Applying techniques to anonymize or pseudonymize sensitive data.
• Ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
• Tools: Informatica TDM, IBM Optim, Delphix, CA TDM.

3. Data Subsetting & Extraction

• Creating smaller, representative datasets from production.
• Ensuring referential integrity across systems.
• Automating extraction processes for repeatability.

4. Synthetic Data Generation

• Generating realistic test data when production data is unavailable or unsuitable.
• Using rule-based or AI-driven data generation tools.
• Supporting edge cases and negative testing scenarios.

5. Environment & Data Provisioning

• Coordinating with DevOps to provision test environments with required data.
• Automating data refresh and rollback processes.
• Managing versioning and consistency across test cycles.

6. Tool Proficiency

• Hands-on experience with TDM tools like:
• Informatica TDM
• Delphix
• CA Test Data Manager
• IBM InfoSphere Optim
• SQL, Python, and Shell scripting for custom data handling
