POSITION SUMMARY          

Abbott is seeking an Order to Cash Application Architect to join our Business Technology Group that combines functional and technical responsibilities. The Application Architect has primary responsibility for architecting, designing and solution delivery of Order to Cash solutions for any Abbott division.

The ideal candidate will be a results-driven Information Technology professional with proven track record.  Strength in aligning IT solutions with business strategies and building strong relationships across various clients and IT groups.  They will have experience supporting all aspects of information technology, including the following:

·          Management experience implementing and sustaining strategic programs with an emphasis on client collaboration, employee development, and project and operations execution

·          Strategic Planning       

·          Stakeholder Management     

·          Process Improvement 

·          Application Development & Solution Delivery     

·          Regulated Industry Implementations        

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Application Architect should have advanced level technical expertise in the following areas:

·         Revenue Management solutions, with emphasis on global Healthcare

·         Contracting solutions, with emphasis on global Healthcare

·         Pricing solutions, with emphasis on global Healthcare

·         Tender Management solutions, with emphasis on global Healthcare

·         Trade Promotion Management Optimization, with emphasis on global Healthcare consumer goods

 The Application Architect should have a broad level of technical expertise in the following areas:

·         Configure, Quote, Price (CPQ) solutions, with emphasis on global Healthcare

·         Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) solutions, with emphasis on global Healthcare

·         Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions, with emphasis on global Healthcare

·         Integration solutions

·         Global Data Warehouse solutions

·         Master Data Management (MDM) solutions

Key responsibilities include:

o   Must have 5 years of strong functional knowledge of Model N Revenue Management system

o   Must be able to understand complex ETL and define data migration best practices

o   Must be able to effectively balance and prioritize multiple projects concurrently

o   Must be able to lead solution discussions, business process and architecture discussions with multiple stakeholders and hence will need to have strong communications skills

o   Must possess excellent analytical skills and should be a business problem solver.

o   Must be able translate a problem into user stories and tasks for developers.

o   Must be team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional and virtual teams in a matrix environment

o   Should possess strong leadership behaviors

o   Must possess strong interpersonal and coaching skills

o   Must be experienced with the Agile software development methodology

o   Must have Software engineering & SDLC experience

o   Assess the degree to which changes to scope, issues and risks will affect projects working with division or BTS stakeholders to gain agreement for resolution for a technical problem

o   Lead workshops to draw out requirements and create visual process flows and ensure proposed solutions are clearly articulated to the project team

o   Participate in pre-program (Phase 0) activities and provide demos/ proposals to our clients

o   Lead project meetings relevant to the technical activities

o   Willing and able to travel domestically approximately 10% of the time for project needs

o   Manage, motivate and mentor cross-functional and enterprise project teams         

o   Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures  

o   Manage Programs /projects at the division or enterprise level.            

o   Make strategic technical decisions that impact Division or site            

 PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

·         Bachelor’s degree

·         Have at least 7 yrs experience in Application architecture, Solution Delivery, Business systems analysis, software development, deployment or operations Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into a scalable solution design

·         Strong presentation and written and verbal communication skills

·         Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously; workload will be a blend of small, medium, and large implementation projects
