Job Title: Power BI Admin & Developer with Tableau
Location: Newark, NJ – Onsite
Hire type: Contract
Power BI Administration :
• Manage and configure Power BI tenant settings, workspaces, security roles, and licensing.
• Monitor Power BI performance, capacity planning, and data refresh schedules.
• Enforce data security best practices, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS).
• Administer Power BI gateways, manage dataset refresh failures, and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance policies.
• Track user activity and manage audit logs for security and usage monitoring.
Power BI & Tableau Development:
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets.
• Optimize DAX calculations, data models, and Power Query transformations.
• Develop interactive Tableau dashboards and maintain data connections.
• Ensure seamless integration between Power BI, Tableau, and data warehouses (SQL, Azure, Snowflake, etc.).
• Work on cross-platform BI solutions, ensuring consistency in reporting and visualization.
Data Governance & Best Practices:
• Define and implement BI governance policies, version control, and user access protocols.
• Establish naming conventions, documentation standards, and report lifecycle management.
• Provide training and best practices guidance for Power BI and Tableau users.
Collaboration & Support:
• Work closely with business teams, data engineers, and IT teams to align BI solutions with business needs.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Power BI and Tableau users.
• Stay updated with Microsoft Power BI & Tableau advancements to enhance BI capabilities.
