About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Python Developer with deep expertise in Apache Airflow and AWS services to join our data engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and workflow orchestration solutions that support our business-critical applications and analytics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and Apache Airflow
Develop, schedule, and monitor data workflows and DAGs in Airflow
Integrate and manage cloud-based infrastructure and services in AWS (e.g., S3, Lambda, ECS, RDS, Glue, etc.)
Write reusable, testable, and efficient code for data ingestion, transformation, and processing
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and DevOps to ensure reliable and efficient data operations
Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting for pipeline health and performance
Optimize workflows for performance, cost, and scalability in a cloud environment
Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in Python development
Required Skills and Qualifications:
3+ years of hands-on experience in Python programming
Strong experience with Apache Airflow, including DAG creation, scheduling, and troubleshooting
Solid understanding and hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda, EC2, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch)
Experience working with data formats such as JSON, Parquet, CSV, and APIs
Proficient in Git and CI/CD pipelines
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have:
Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes
Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation for AWS infrastructure provisioning
Experience with data lakes, data warehouses (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake), or analytics platforms
Knowledge of SQL and database performance optimization
