Title             : Network Engineer – Optical

Location      :Redmond , WA(onsite)

Rate            $50/hour

Job description :

Technical Skills:

•            Well versed with below Optical technologies/concepts:

Ø            DWDM, EDFA Vs RAMAN amplifiers, ROADM, FOADM, Optical Transponders, Optical Coherent technology, ASE, OSNR, FEC, Different fiber types, Non Linear effects, Different modulation schemes (16QAM, 8QAM etc), Dispersion

Ø            Good understanding of FCAPS functionalities

Ø            Expertise in troubleshooting Optical DWDM networks

Ø            Experience in software upgrades in large networks

Ø            Min 6-10 years of Hands on experience on working on Optical DWDM line systems from Ciena, Infinera, Cisco etc

Soft Skills:

•            ITIL process understanding(ITIL Certification Preferred)

•            Excellent spoken English

•            Good technical document writing skills

•            Experience in working in cross team environment across diff time zones
