GIS Solution Architect (Esri, GIS Mobility, Utility Network, Cloud)
We are seeking a GIS Solution Architect to advance geospatial technology at SoCalGas and SDG&E. This role requires a hands-on professional with deep experience in GIS architecture and Esri technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GIS mobility, cloud-based deployments, Utility Network implementations, and enterprise integration. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are essential to design, build, and implement GIS solutions that are scalable, performant, and maintainable.
Summary of Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in GIS architecture and enterprise geospatial solutions.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with most or all of the following:
· Esri ArcGIS Enterprise
· Esri Field Maps and mobile GIS solutions
· ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
· ArcGIS Experience Builder / Web AppBuilder
· Geodatabase design and data modeling
· Esri Utility Network and UPDM
Technology Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience with:
- Supporting field operations through mobile GIS and offline data workflows
- Designing and deploying GIS solutions in cloud environments (Azure or AWS)
- Integrating GIS with enterprise systems such as SAP
- Creating systems with high availability and disaster recovery capabilities
- Implementing data governance, versioning, and lifecycle management for spatial data
- Configuring and managing IT infrastructure
- Familiarity with REST APIs, web services, and automation tools
- Creating and maintaining architectural diagrams
