Role Overview
As a Salesforce QA / Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality across Salesforce implementations by designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies.
You will work across the full development lifecycle, leveraging modern Quality Engineering practices, test automation frameworks, and full-stack testing to deliver high-quality Salesforce solutions.
Core Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Execution
- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Salesforce applications
- Perform end-to-end testing across UI, backend, and integrations
- Validate functionality across Salesforce core clouds and custom implementations
- Identify, log, track, and resolve defects efficiently
Test Automation & Quality Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks
- Create reusable automation artifacts with proper versioning and documentation
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
- Drive adoption of modern Quality Engineering practices
Data Validation & Integration Testing
- Perform data validation using SQL queries, especially post-migration
- Validate data integrity, transformations, and system integrations
- Test APIs and integrations in SaaS-based Salesforce environments
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams
- Gather automation requirements and align testing with business objectives
- Prepare and present test reports, metrics, and quality insights
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Key Requirements
Experience
- 5–8 years of QA/testing experience
- Minimum 2–3 Salesforce project implementations
- Hands-on experience in Salesforce testing environments
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models
- Healthcare domain experience is a strong plus
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in UI testing across Salesforce core clouds (must-have)
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation and migration testing (must-have)
- Knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks
- Understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices
- Experience testing web-based SaaS applications
- Familiarity with Salesforce platform functionality and workflows
Quality Engineering & Tools
- Experience integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to automation frameworks, version control, and test management tools
- Strong understanding of end-to-end and regression testing strategies
