Job Title: SAP FICO Consultant

Location: Wilmington, DE or Washington DC – Onsite

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules and will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP FICO solutions to streamline financial processes. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance financial reporting, analysis, and control, helping to drive organizational efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·       Implementation & Configuration: Lead or support the configuration and implementation of SAP FICO modules, ensuring alignment with client business processes and requirements.

·       Business Process Mapping: Work closely with business users to understand and document financial and controlling requirements, then translate them into SAP FICO configurations.

·       System Integration: Configure and integrate SAP FICO with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP, etc.), ensuring end-to-end business process flow is optimized.

·       Customization & Development: Customize and configure SAP FICO settings for Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) processes, including General Ledger (G/L), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Cost Center/Profit Center accounting.

·       Testing & Support: Perform system testing (unit, integration, and UAT), ensuring that configurations and processes meet business requirements. Provide ongoing support post-implementation and during upgrades.

·       Training & Documentation: Provide training to end users on the SAP FICO module and related processes. Create comprehensive documentation for configurations, business processes, and user manuals.

·       Reporting & Analysis: Support financial reporting and analysis processes within SAP, ensuring compliance with legal and company-specific reporting standards. Customize and implement reports using SAP tools (e.g., SAP Fiori, SAP BW).

·       Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to SAP FICO configurations, transactions, or integration points.

 

Key Requirements:

·       Experience: Minimum of 15+ years of hands-on experience with SAP FICO, including successful implementations and support. Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA is preferred.

·       SAP FICO Knowledge: Strong knowledge and experience in the SAP FICO modules (FI/CO), including configuration of General Ledger (G/L), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center/Profit Center accounting, and internal orders.

·       Integration Skills: Experience with integrating SAP FICO with other SAP modules such as MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales and Distribution), and PS (Project Systems).

·       Technical Skills: Basic understanding of ABAP/SQL for debugging and system enhancements, experience with reporting tools such as SAP Fiori, SAP BW, and SAP Query is a plus.

·       Business Acumen: A solid understanding of financial accounting and controlling principles, including cost accounting, financial reporting, taxation, and regulatory compliance.

·       Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and present solutions to clients.

·       Certifications (Preferred): SAP FICO certification or related credentials in finance or accounting.

·       Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

 

Preferred Skills & Experience:

·       Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling capabilities.

·       Experience with SAP FICO integration with third-party systems or external interfaces.

·       Project management or process optimization experience (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma).

·       Knowledge of regulatory requirements in financial accounting (GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
