Position: SDET with Mobile testing exp
Location: New York- Onsite
A mobile QA automation engineer designs, develops, and executes automated tests for mobile applications, ensuring the quality of software releases. They focus on automating various aspects of testing, including UI, API, and performance testing, to identify and fix bugs and ensure a smooth user experience
Proficiecy with Java, JavaScript, Kotlin, and tools like Appium, Espresso, and XCUI for automating UI testing
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for iOS and Android applications
· Develop and enhance test automation frameworks and tools, recommending best-fit solutions for the team
· Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify, log, and track defects throughout the software development lifecycle
· Perform regression, functional, and UI testing to ensure application stability and usability
· Analyze test results, report findings, and assist in troubleshooting issues with the development team
· Continuously improve automation processes, increasing test coverage and efficiency
· Assist in the creation of test plans, test cases, and documentation for new features and releases
· Participate in Agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
· Proven experience in mobile automation testing for iOS and Android platforms
· Proficiency with automation tools such as Appium, Espresso, XCTest, or similar frameworks
· Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Kotlin, Swift, or JavaScript
· Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
· Familiarity with cloud-based device testing platforms is a plus
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
· ISTQB or similar testing certifications are advantageous
