Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain ETL jobs using IBM DataStage (versions 9.1 – 11.5) to load data into the data warehouse.
• Enhance legacy platforms with scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Design efficient database structures including tables, data types, stored procedures, functions, and more.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SQL Server service outages and performance issues.
• Collaborate with business analysts to understand and meet business requirements.
• Optimize database code for readability, reliability, and performance.
• Advise on best practices for clustering, log shipping, mirroring, replication, and more.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience working for U.S. companies within the United States.
• 4+ years of recent experience at a major bank (since 2017).
• 7+ years of experience with IBM DataStage (versions 9.1 – 11.5).
• 5+ years of experience with ETL using DataStage.
• Proficient in creating, enhancing, and supporting multiple data pipelines.
• Experience with RDBMS platforms (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Vertica) for at least 5 years.
• Strong SQL skills including coding procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Proficient in writing complex mapping, operational scripts, and triggers for data integration.
• 2+ years of experience with agile development practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly discuss development needs and recommended approaches.
