  JOB DESCRIPTION

• The City of Phoenix, Aviation Department (AVN) is seeking two Senior Application Developers to join the  Business Applications and GIS (BAGIS) team, a part of the Technology Division. Each position will be  responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions for Phoenix Sky Harbor International  Airport (PHX) passengers, tenants (such as airlines, retail stores, restaurants, etc.) and their employees,  and internal business units.
• The BAGIS team develops, supports, and maintains a suite of applications that encompass the entire  application ecosystem. We utilize Azure and VMWare for dev, test, and prod infrastructure and DevOps  for our CI/CD. Candidates should be able to understand, plan, execute, test, and deploy user stories from  our product backlog. The candidates should be familiar with the Agile Software Development Life Cycle  (with 2-week sprints).
• Some of the duties for these positions will include extending existing .NET applications/processes,  gathering requirements, and proposing development timelines. The candidates should have a strong  understanding of DevOps principles and be familiar with PowerApps, Azure Integration Services, and  comfortable working in Azure cloud environments.
• These are hybrid telecommute positions that requires the candidates to be on-site 5 days a week for the  first 2 weeks and then switch to 3 days in office and 2 days telecommute schedule. An out-of-state work  schedule is not allowed for this position.
• Some of our exciting projects that candidates will be a part of:
• Green Business Portal- As part of PHX’s sustainability goals, we have created a portal for our tenants to be recognized as a Green Business Partner. This portal was created using Power  Platform.
• FAA Part 139 ESRI Smart Inspections- As part of FAA requirements, PHX must pass inspections  each year. This smart solution will incorporate geospatial tools to inspect and report on runways,  lighting, taxiways, signage, etc. to improve efficiency in meeting those requirements.
• Interactive Wayfinding Application- A passenger facing solution to provide location-based wayfinding, navigation to points of interest, flight information, and terminal layout from airport kiosks and mobile devices.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 5+ years of .NET (Framework/Core), C# development exp.
• 5+ yrs. of exp. creating Console Applications, Web applications
• 5+ yrs. of exp. creating Web Services, REST APIs
• 4+ yrs. of database development exp. (SQL Server preferred).
• 3+ yrs. of exp. leading software development projects
• 3+ yrs. of exp. in all aspects of the Agile Software Development
• 3+ yrs. of exp. with front end technologies such as Angular or Blazor
• 3+ yrs. of exp. using JavaScript frameworks, HTML and CSS.
• 3+ yrs. of exp. in unit testing, QA, and debugging.
• 3+ yrs. of exp. using version control such as Git and GitHub
• 3+ yrs. of exp. interpreting business and user requirements to provide solutions
• 3+ yrs. of exp. analyzing business processes and its dependencies
• 3+ yrs. of exp using Collaborative tools (Jira, Trello, etc)
• 2+ yrs. of exp. working with Azure PaaS (App Services, Azure SQL, etc).
• 3+ years of working in DevOps environment for CI/CD.
• 3+ yrs. of PowerPlatform exp. (PowerApps, PowerPages, PowerAutomate, etc).
• Ability to work in a hybrid telecommute position requiring in-office 3 days a week.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Experience working with Azure API Management
• Experience with Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS). Ex: Dell Boomi, Mulesoft
• Microsoft Certifications
