Job Description:
The Cloud Engineer is responsible for the deployment, automation, and support of cloud infrastructure hosted in Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
This role requires managing highly complex application environments across multiple zones in the public cloud. The Cloud Engineer will ensure
infrastructure is deployed, maintained, and supported in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and best practices.
This position requires a process-focused and detail-oriented individual who can effectively collaborate with teams across the organization to establish and
improve Cloud Infrastructure support processes.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with operational and engineering teams to gather requirements and define specifications for applications deployed or planned
for deployment in Azure and GCP.
• Work with development teams to ensure applications meet operational requirements and achieve defined SLA goals.
Automate code deployment, security enforcement, and monitoring processes using tools such as ARM, Chef, Git, Terraform, Ansible, Azure
Application Insights, and Dynatrace.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to ensure secure and scalable cloud infrastructure deployment.
• Support both Linux and Windows systems running in Azure and GCP.• Research emerging cloud technologies and assess their potential impact on organizational objectives.
• Manage Patch Management, demand management, and implement processes for configuration, change, and release management.
• Document and maintain business requirements for SaaS solution services.
• Develop environment planning strategies, build requirements, and manage infrastructure and application roadmaps.
• Provide operational trending analysis, metrics, and availability reports.
• Facilitate infrastructure enhancement requests and maintenance scheduling.
• Manage environment upgrades and support processes for seamless operations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in multi cloud environments like azure and GCP.
• Experience deploying and managing applications in Azure and GCP, with strong knowledge of public cloud security frameworks.
• Broad technical knowledge in infrastructure disciplines including networking, storage, and platforms.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work productively with cross-functional teams.
• Cloud Certifications – Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Associate Cloud Engineer (GCP)
