Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst with expertise in the logistics domain to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals. The Senior Business Analyst will manage project backlogs, gather and analyse requirements, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and drive the successful implementation of logistics systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and validate business requirements.
    • Conduct a gap analysis to identify areas for improvement and propose effective solutions.
    • Translate complex business needs into clear, concise functional specifications and user stories.
    • Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical deliverables.
  2. Project Management and Coordination:
    • Manage project backlogs using tools like Azure DevOps or JIRA , ensuring timely updates and prioritization.
    • Plan and monitor project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
    • Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
    • Act as the primary point of contact between business users, development teams, external partners, and end customers.
  3. System Design and Implementation:
    • Design and document system improvements, workflows, and process models.
    • Champion the implementation and integration of new systems or features, including UAT testing and end-user training.
    • Validate test results conducted by QA teams to ensure compliance with business requirements.
    • Support go-live activities and provide post-implementation support to address any issues.
  4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Analyse customer data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimisation.
    • Generate actionable insights and recommendations to enhance operational performance.
    • Develop reports and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand their operations and pain points.
    • Map business processes and identify gaps that can be addressed through technology solutions.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert during product development cycles, providing guidance and clarifications.
  6. Process Improvement:
    • Continuously evaluate existing logistics processes and suggest enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
  7. Documentation and Training:
    • Create comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and user manuals.
    • Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure smooth adoption of new systems or features.
  8. Collaboration Across Teams:
    • Work closely with developers, testers, and other IT teams to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities.
    • Coordinate with interface/external tool partners to integrate third-party systems seamlessly.
  9. Agile Methodologies:
    • Apply working knowledge of the Scrum framework and other agile methodologies to drive iterative development.
    • Ensure adherence to software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, particularly during requirement definition, analysis, and testing phases.

Qualifications:

  1. Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  2. Experience:
    • Minimum of ___9_ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the logistics or supply chain domain.
    • Proven track record of managing large-scale projects involving logistics systems and applications.
    • Hands-on experience with tools like Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, and other project management platforms.
  3. Domain Expertise:
    • Deep understanding of logistics operations, including transportation management, warehouse management, inventory control, order fulfillment, and freight forwarding.
    • Familiarity with logistics-specific software and platforms such as TMS (Transportation Management Systems), WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), ERP systems, and route optimisation tools.
    • Understanding of international trade regulations, customs compliance, and shipping standards (e.g., Incoterms, HS Codes).
    • Experience in optimizing supply chain networks, reducing lead times, and improving cost-efficiency.
    • Knowledge of freight forwarding, carrier selection, load optimization, and real-time tracking systems.
    • Familiarity with warehouse layout design, picking strategies, and inventory turnover metrics.
  4. Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in SQL and data querying tools to analyse data and generate insights.
    • Experience with process modelling tools like Visio , Lucidchart , or similar.
    • Basic understanding of APIs, integrations, and middleware technologies commonly used in logistics systems.

    • Willingness to continuously upgrade skills and stay ahead of industry trends.
  4. Leadership and Teamwork:
    • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and mentor junior team members.
    • Collaborative mindset to work effectively in cross-functional environments.


Preferred Certifications:

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).
  • CBAP / CCBA
  • Logistics and Supply chain related certifications
