Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Data Engineering and Power BI Support Specialist to join our SRO team. This role focuses on end-user support for data lake operations and Power BI platform management, requiring a strong grasp of technical concepts but no hands-on coding or development. The ideal candidate will be proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented, with experience in data onboarding, issue triage, and workspace optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering Support
Onboard teams to EDL/EDSP clusters
Share documentation on data ingestion, processing, storage, and access services
Guide users on access token refresh and resolve expiry issues
Monitor Slack channel #nv-enterprise-data-lake and respond to queries
Collaborate with SRE team to manage data lake operations tickets
Provide feedback to improve platform usability
Power BI Support
Share documentation addressing Power BI user questions
Triage and resolve Power BI issues with clear communication
Assist with workspace upgrades and premium content approvals
Monitor Power BI capacity utilization and respond to alerts
Ensure report and dashboard performance meets quality standards
Coordinate with Enterprise Data Lake team on Power BI-related concerns
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Strong understanding of data engineering concepts and Power BI functionalities
Proven experience in end-user support for data platforms and BI tools
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with ETL/ELT, Databricks, and Power BI Premium
Knowledge of Python, Apache Spark, and SQL
Experience with Azure/AWS Data Lake, ServiceNow, Jira, and monitoring tools
Understanding of IT capacity planning and incident escalation workflows
