Job Title: Mainframe Engineer

Duration:  12 month contract to hire

Location: Lake Mary, FL 32746 (preferred) or Pittsburgh, PA 15258 (4 days onsite required weekly from day one)

Legal Authorization: US Citizen, Green Card Holder

Requirements:

•          Strong mainframe experience is required

•          COBOL

•          JCL

•          DB2

•          CICS

Preferred:

•          COBOL Online

•          Distributed systems

•          Coding experience is a nice to have

•          Financial services is a nice to have

•          MQ experience

•          Agile experience

•          Familiarity with version control systems and GIT, CI/CD pipelines

Job Description:

Role/Responsibilities:

•          This position will act as a back-up to the application manager

•          The mainframe engineer will participate in the technical design, development, and implementation of application systems

•          This role is responsible for developing innovative business solutions by creating new applications, modifying existing ones, and providing post-production support

•          The engineer ensures that all development aligns with established specifications and business requirements to deliver value to the organization.
