Position: Network Implementation Engineer

Location: Remote

Job description:

As a Sr Network Implementation Engineer within our Core IP Planning & Implementation organization, you will work on IP and Ethernet Data networks for our Enterprise and Government customers. This involves deployment of Network Routers, Switches, Servers, probes, Security appliances in our Gateways and Data Centers, as well as our Financial and large customer locations. You will also perform Network Configuration/Router protocols on the CORE IP / Data Network devices.

Required Qualifications

Must be proficient and able to demonstrate the ability to deploy solutions in more than one area of technology.

Must have a clear understanding of protocol turn-up (ISIS, BGP, OSPF, MPLS/RSVP), services configurations (L3VPN/VPLS) on multiple platforms (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Accedian, Exfo, Force10, Overture etc.), hardware and software upgrades on the devices and actively troubleshoot ISIS, BGP, OSPF, MPLSTE, RSVP, issues on Juniper, Cisco and Nokia and other Routing and Switching platforms.

Working knowledge of:

Key technologies and protocols such as: RSVP, MPLS, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, VRRP, HSRP, STP etc.

Experience in routing and switching operations across various vendors and their software platforms (Cisco IOS, JUNOS, Nokia TiMOS)

On-hands experience with the entire Juniper MX, M and PTX series, Cisco and Nokia IP Platforms

HTML, Windows Based Operating Systems and Linux/UNIX and server administration

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional Certifications are a bonus but not required (CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS or equivalent)
