Job Title: Java Developer
Location:Charlotte, NC
Position Type: Long-Term Contract (Onsite in Charlotte, NC)
Key Responsibilities
Microservices Development: Design and implement scalable microservices using Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
Solution Architecture: Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to define solution architecture.
Best Practices: Drive best practices in coding, design, and deployment.
Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior developers through code reviews, technical sessions, and task planning.
Backend Integration: Integrate backend services with data platforms, including Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc.).
System Performance: Ensure system scalability, performance, security, and reliability.
Agile Participation: Participate in Agile ceremonies and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
DevOps Support: Support DevOps practices, including CI/CD, containerization, and monitoring.
Required Skills
Core Java: Strong proficiency in Core Java (8+), Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
API Development: Experience with REST APIs, Maven/Gradle, and JUnit/TestNG.
Design Patterns: Solid understanding of design patterns, multithreading, exception handling, and collections.
Big Data Ecosystem: Experience with Big Data ecosystems (Spark, Kafka, Hive, HDFS, etc.) is desirable.
Database Knowledge: Working knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
Frontend Exposure: Exposure to Angular or React for full-stack development.
Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
CI/CD Tools: CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes).
API Security: Knowledge of API security, authentication, and authorization (OAuth2, JWT).
Education & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
