Title         : VMware Horizon VDI Engineer

Location : Marion, Indiana  46952- Onsite

 

Looking for VMware Horizon VDI Professional to join our dynamic team operations under 24*7 model where EST / CST hrs. will be primary support time.

 

•            you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure using VMware Horizon or similar technologies.

•            This role involves managing virtual desktops, optimizing user experiences, and ensuring the overall stability of the VDI environment.

•            The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in VMware VDI technologies, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to VDI administration.

 

Good knowledge on Imprivata and thin clients

Good knowledge on Wyse Management Services (WMS)

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

•            VMware Horizon Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain VMware Horizon VDI infrastructure.

•            Manage virtual desktops, desktop pools, and connection servers for optimal performance.

•            Desktop Image Management: Create and manage desktop images for various use cases within VMware Horizon.

•            Implement optimizations for performance and resource efficiency.

•            User Profile Management: Configure and manage user profiles in virtual desktop environments.

•            Implement profile solutions to ensure consistent and personalized user experiences.

•            Application Virtualization: Package and deploy applications using VMware App Volumes or equivalent technologies.

•            Ensure compatibility and performance of virtualized applications.

•            Having knowledge on VMware vSphere V-center.

•            Security and Compliance: Implement security measures to safeguard virtual desktop infrastructure.

•            Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.

•            Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of virtual desktop environments and take proactive measures to optimize resource utilization.

•            Troubleshoot and resolve performance-related issues.

•            End-User Support: Provide support to end-users experiencing issues with virtual desktop access or applications.

•            SLA, Change and Problem management and Ticketing tool – Service now knowledge.

•            Collaborate with helpdesk and support teams to address user needs.

•            Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of VMware Horizon configurations, procedures, and best practices

•            Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs).

•            Collaboration: Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate VDI solutions with broader IT infrastructure.

•            Participate in projects related to virtual desktop enhancements or expansions.
