Role: ZSCALER ENGINEER
Location : Kansas, Bellevue or Texas # 3 days per week
• Experience with Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA)
• Work experience with creating ZIA policy and ZPA policy within Zscaler.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, VPNs, proxies, firewalls, and routing protocols.
• Work on Zscaler tickets and open up access for users the trouble shoot Zscaler issues
Must Have Skills
• Skill 1 – Hands-on expertise in Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) in a production enterprise environment.
• Skill 2 – Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, VPN tunneling (GRE/IPSec/SSL).
• Skill 3 – Experience with Zscaler policy frameworks: ZIA security policies, ZPA access policies, app segmentation, authentication, context-aware access.
• Skill 4 – Deep understanding of proxy and firewall architecture, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and forwarding methods (PAC files, Client Connector, GRE, IPSec tunnels).
• Skill 5 – Strong knowledge of authentication and identity protocols: SAML, SSO, SCIM, LDAP.
• Skill 6 – Experience integrating Zscaler with SIEM, Azure AD, identity platforms, and endpoint management solutions.
• Skill 7 – Proficiency in troubleshooting: log analysis, packet captures, traffic flow analysis, performance optimization.
• Skill 8 – Excellent documentation skills: architecture diagrams, policy templates, runbooks.
Domain Experience (If any)
• Enterprise IT Security and Networking domain with focus on Cloud Security, Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE).
Must Have Certifications
• Zscaler Certified Professional – ZIA/ZPA or equivalent certification.
