Job Title: Data Governance Lead
Location: King of Prussia, PA – Hybrid
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Role Description:
We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Architect with 12+ years of experience to establish and manage data governance for our Databricks-based platform. This role involves ensuring data quality, security, and stewardship across multiple business processes using Microsoft Purview as the governance tool.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Governance Strategy: Develop and implement data governance frameworks aligned with business needs and compliance requirements.
- Data Stewardship: Define roles and processes to ensure data integrity and maintain high data quality.
- Data Quality Management: Establish metrics and rules to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Data Security: Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and maintain secure data access.
- Purview Expertise: Leverage Microsoft Purview for data cataloging, lineage tracking, and governance workflows to enhance transparency.
- Policy Development: Create and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
- Collaboration: Partner with business, IT, and data teams to integrate governance practices organization-wide.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: 12+ years in data governance, data quality, and security, preferably on cloud-based platforms like Databricks.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in Microsoft Purview or similar governance tools.
- Data Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of data privacy regulations and secure data access practices.
- Data Quality Skills: Experience in defining and managing data quality and stewardship programs.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and data modeling.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
