EHR Infrastructure Architect to work on their project based out of Baltimore, MD / Onsite.

Location: Baltimore, MD / Onsite

Duration: Long Term

Job Description:

Improve Quality of Care Delivery – Ensure access to medical records to enhance patient care.
Reduce Medical Errors – Utilize clinical decision support and best practices to minimize errors.
Facilitate Interoperability – Enable data exchange across state, federal, and local systems.
Enhance Revenue Cycle Management – Streamline claims management and reporting.
Improve Reporting and Analytics – Enable comprehensive clinical, financial, and administrative reporting.
Ensure Privacy and Security – Safeguard protected health information (PHI).
Upgrade Infrastructure – Support the SaaS EHR solution with reliable network and hardware upgrades.

Critical Success Factors

System Selection: Identify an integrated SaaS-based EHR solution that aligns with MDH’s clinical and administrative needs.
Unified Budgeting: Develop a methodology for managing lifecycle costs such as hardware, software, and infrastructure.
Implementation Plan: Create and execute a robust plan, incorporating training and ongoing support.
Major Stakeholders
Eleven (11) State-operated healthcare facilities
Web-based SaaS Solution: A solution to manage census, billing, and clinical functionalities.
Network Infrastructure: Upgrades to Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN) to support the EHR.
End-User Equipment: Provision of medical-grade devices (e.g., laptops, barcode scanners, workstations).
Pharmacy System Update: Transition from the legacy pharmacy system to a new solution.
IT Infrastructure Upgrades: Enhancements to internet circuit capacity, redundancy, and power supply to support the SaaS EHR. Incremental Delivery Approach The project will follow an incremental delivery approach, with key milestones and deliverables monitored regularly.
Proactive Risk Identification and Mitigation: Assessing potential risks and recommending solutions to reduce or eliminate them.
Quality Assurance: Verifying that program deliverables meet established quality standards from the outset through final acceptance.
Ongoing Performance Improvement: Providing actionable feedback on processes, methodologies, and deliverables to drive continuous improvement.
