Position: PostgreSQL Database Administrator

Qualifications
• 6+ years of experience in administering on-prem/cloud PostgreSQL ,Open-Source PostgreSQL) databases
• Expertise in planning, designing, building, and implementing complex database systems
• The candidate must have experience working in the database domain with at least Six (6) years of experience managing in of PostgreSQL DB
• In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL Database architecture
• Automation skills in Shell Scripts/Python/Ansible/Terraform(cloud) to automate routine maintenance activities
• Experience in implementing industry best practices for consistently installing and configuring PostgreSQL for production, pre-production, and non-production environments
• Conducted technical reviews and walkthroughs of system design documentation with development and design team members
• Experience in designing and developing logical and physical database designs
• Design and implement replication and backups for mission-critical/tier-1 applications
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Responsibilities
• Overview: As a PostgreSQL Database Administrator, you will provide physical database support for EDB, AWS Aurora PostgreSQL, and Open-Source PostgreSQL databases, ensuring the integrity and availability of the database
• You are responsible for monitoring, analyzing, administrating, and performing tuning at the database and application levels
• You will work with the respective application and business teams to fine-tune the databases and their application code to enhance availability, performance, and security
• Design and implement highly available and scalable database platforms in on-premises and AWS environments
• Automation plays a critical role in simplifying routine activities
• You will utilize your knowledge and experience with security, backup, recovery, and archiving to make recommendations regarding process improvements for logical and physical data structures
• You will forecast long-range requirements for database administration while documenting the database environment and support processes
