Job Description:

We are looking for a PL/SQL Developer with Oracle DB administration

Please set the expectations for an onsite interview. Some MS SQL exp is good in the past, but we really need someone with recent last 5 years ideally of Oracle SQL. This team is not architecting a database they are developing and writing commands. This is a fast-moving position and I can get interviews quickly for the right candidates. I will be screening your candidates on a video call.

Project details at ADP in Parsippany, NJ:

We’re looking for a Senior Oracle Database Developer to join our team in a contract-to-hire role supporting a Payroll Platform at ADP. This is a hands-on position focused on high-performance database development—not infrastructure—where you’ll optimize queries, improve system performance post-stress, and solve complex business problems through efficient, scalable data solutions.

Minimum Requirements:

·        5- 10 years' experience Oracle Database Developer

·        SQL, PL/SQL

·        Oracle Version 19C and above

·        Oracle VPD (Virtual Private Database)

·        Scripting Experience (Python Preferred, Shell)

·        Linux OS (RedHat)

·        Experience in application deployment and automations and DevOps tools – Artifactory, GIT, Bitbucket, Jenkins and Ansible

·        Knowledge of public clouds (AWS, Azure or GCP)

Nice to have:

·        Liquidbase a plus

·        Oracle Certification a huge plus

·        Java and Hibernate development experience a plus

·        Experience working with Oracle Cloud Control, Golden Gate and Golden Gate BDA is also a huge plus.

·        Java and Hibernate development experience in addition to deep database development is preferred.

Notes from the hiring manager feedback:

– Doesn't want to see any MS SQL candidates, needs focus on oracle database and features

– Doesn't want candidates with decades of experience

– They have 10% of PostgreSQL databases so any experience with PostgreSQL will also help. Primary experience is on SQL, PL/SQL, scripting, python and deep expertise on database.

– We need the experience with latest version 19c. They can have experience on older releases, but they should have experience with latest stable version 19c as well.
