Job Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams for healthcare claims products.
Define, manage, and prioritize product backlog items, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).
Translate complex healthcare and medical claims requirements into clear user stories with acceptance criteria.
Collaborate with engineering, QA, design, and business teams to deliver product features on time and within scope.
Analyze and interpret healthcare claims data to identify improvement opportunities and inform product decisions.
Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives in Agile/Scrum environments.
Monitor product performance, troubleshoot issues, and support post-deployment validation and maintenance.
Ensure integration of EDI standards, including 837P/I/D and 835 transactions, into product workflows.
Stay up-to-date with healthcare regulations, payer requirements, and industry trends to guide roadmap planning.
Required:
5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within the healthcare industry, with a focus on medical claims processing.
Strong understanding of EDI transactions (837, 835, 276/277, etc.).
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Familiarity with healthcare payer-provider processes, claim lifecycle, and adjudication logic.
Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Proven track record of delivering successful healthcare software products.
Knowledge of HIPAA and other relevant healthcare data privacy regulations
Experience in Mainframe application
Desired:
Proclaim Medical claims platform experience
Certification such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe PO/PM.
Background in product management for healthcare claims management systems.
