“I am 38 years old and currently hold a leadership position in a software project, overseeing a team that includes working students. I am consistently impressed by how quickly they adapt to new technologies. While I consider myself proficient in my preferred programming language and possess a solid grasp of software architecture, I find it challenging to keep pace with their ability to produce high-quality code when confronted with new languages or frameworks.
I am curious to know if more experienced programmers jobs have encountered similar situations and whether this is a common occurrence that I should accept, or if I need to put in additional effort to catch up. I had some exposure to coding during my school years, but I didn’t delve deeply into it until I reached the age of 30.
