Job Title: Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Architect

Location: Remote (US-based)

Duration: Long term

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Architect with extensive experience in AWS and DevOps to join our growing team. As a Senior SRE Architect, you will play a critical role in ensuring the uptime, reliability, and performance of our identity solutions systems. You will work closely with our engineering, operations, and security teams to design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, and implement highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable infrastructure on AWS for our identity solutions systems.

Collaborate with engineering teams to define and implement best practices for software development, deployment, and operations.

Develop and maintain automation tools and scripts for provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring.

Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployment.

Monitor and analyze system performance, availability, and security, and implement improvements as needed.

Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.

Participate in on-call rotation to respond to and resolve system incidents.

Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership and guidance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of experience in a senior SRE or DevOps role.

Strong expertise in AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, and VPC.

Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.

Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.

Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or CloudWatch.

Experience with security best practices and compliance frameworks such as NIST, FedRAMP, or FISMA.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty.

Experience with identity and access management (IAM) solutions.

Experience working in the US Public Sector or with government contracts.

Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform.

Experience with network security, encryption, and VPN technologies.

Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Confluence.
