JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Senior System Administrator (SCADA) will be responsible for the design, programing, and implementation of the new SCADA system(s), as well as providing day to day operational support for the existing system(s). This role is responsible for utilizing and integrating the latest technologies, developments and trends in the Gas PLC and SCADA systems industry to enhance current operations. A successful candidate must have an in-depth working knowledge of SCADA fundamentals as they apply to the utility space. This role requires that the selected candidate maintain a strong working relationship with all management, supervisory, IT and operating staff in their designated area. Clear communications and close coordination with the energy control center is required to support both field and energy distribution operations.

Responsibilities:
Maintaining currency with latest trends in automation designs and equipment for the Gas industry
Fluent in all aspects of SCADA System including:
AVEVA Enterprise SCADA (formerly OASyS DNA) baseline platform
HMI display development
Realtime Database implementation
Historical Database data interfaces and reports
Gas Measurement Metering
Troubleshoot SCADA software and server issues
Work closely with Field Technicians to configure, test, and troubleshoot data polling from the SCADA System to field RTUs.
Work with Gas Control operators to make sure the SCADA system is always providing them the ability to safely operate the pipeline.
Program wireless modems (Sierra Wireless and Digi)
Build, configure, and maintain reports
Document changes, obtain required approvals, and submit changes
Knowledge of RTU/PLC protocol (Modbus, DNP3, BSAP)
Ability to write simple scripts and SQL queries
Ability to work independently and exercise good judgement in a small team environment

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Must Have

AVEVA Enterprise SCADA (formerly OASyS DNA) baseline platform
Comfortable with Hybrid work
Fluent in all aspects of SCADA System Operation including: AVEVA Enterprise SCADA (formerly OASyS DNA) baseline platform, HMI display development, Realtime Database implementation, Historical Database data interfaces and reporting, Gas Measurement Metering
In-depth Knowledge of RTU/PLC protocol (Modbus, DNP3, BSAP);
Participate in the complete SCADA system upgrade project including implementation, testing, and go-live and post implementation support
Work closely with Field Technicians to configure, test, and troubleshoot data polling from the SCADA System to field RTUs

Nice To Have

Job Description:
• 8+ years of professional experience as hands-on Front End Engineer on iOS
• Expert in iOS Mobile App Development with Swift
• Expert in MVVM architecture and design pattern
• Familiarity with higher order functions and libraries
• Superior analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude.
• Ability to perform in a team environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to interpret and follow technical plans
• Understanding of CI/CD , Unit testing and deterministic functional testing, End to End automation

Our client is pioneering several different development efforts to increase security within their vehicle ecosystem. Several of these efforts require hands-on development skills with both embedded systems and cloud environment with a working knowledge of security.

Activities:


Create Golang based microservices and libraries
Perform code reviews
Contribute to our client’s coding standards and practices
Evaluate software designs to develop testing approaches to verify software quality for both embedded systems as well as cloud systems
Evaluate system designs to develop end-to-end testing approaches to verify system quality
Guide and contribute to our architecture and infrastructure

Requirements:


Strong communication skills, specifically giving/receiving constructive feedback in a collaborative setting
Minimum of 4 years of programming experience ( ie. Golang,Python)
Good understanding of API design and implementation with security practices
Ability to learn new technology quickly and adapt to changes.
Experience with both AWS & Azure cloud environments.
Experience with containerization implementations (Docker, Kubernetes)
Demonstrable ability to architect, build, and operate distributed systems to solve problems
Experience with AWS infrastructure and services, including deploying and securing applications and sensitive data in cloud environments.
Working knowledge of PKI and how to evaluate communication systems based on PKI
A solid understanding of the Linux operating system, including commands, hardware, and software
Network troubleshooting, ability to identify and resolve issues in network routers, firewalls, and switches
