Education Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.

 

Scope of Services:

Client’s – Office of Information Technology (OIT), Strategic Services division, seeks a Systems Administrator to support the Strategic Architecture Services team. This role is essential for maintaining, troubleshooting, and ensuring the optimal performance of Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint environments (both on-premises and online). The Systems Administrator will handle projects and issues of medium to high complexity and must collaborate closely with both IT and business users.

 

Required Experience and Technical Skills:

  • SharePoint (Online & On-Premises): Site management, content and permission management, performance monitoring.
  • Microsoft Power Platform: Experience in supporting Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI.
  • Microsoft Office 365 Ecosystem: Strong knowledge of Office 365, OneDrive, Teams.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving system, application, and integration issues.
  • Understanding of governance, compliance, and best practices for Power Platform and SharePoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts, web-based application troubleshooting, and IIS Administration (preferred).
  • Proficiency in technical writing – user guides, documentation, knowledge base articles.
  • Experience with ITSM tools, such as ServiceNow, for ticket and incident management.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Power Platform applications and SharePoint environments.
  2. Establish system specifications for Power Platform and SharePoint by analyzing workflows, access, and security.
  3. Upgrade SharePoint environments in coordination with vendors; evaluate and install enhancements.
  4. Provide end-user support for Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and SharePoint.
  5. Assist users in building simple Power Apps, workflows, and dashboards.
  6. Conduct audits, monitor usage, and maintain performance of SharePoint.
  7. Generate reports on issues, usage, and resolutions for Power Platform and SharePoint.
  8. Collaborate with end-users to gather requirements and enhance user experience.
  9. Maintain comprehensive documentation including design docs, best practices, user guides, and troubleshooting manuals.
  10. Conduct training and create knowledge base articles for common issues.
  11. Ensure seamless integration with other enterprise systems and work closely with business teams.
  12. Stay current by engaging in educational opportunities and industry events.
  13. Uphold confidentiality and organizational integrity in all responsibilities.
  14. Take ownership of diverse assignments and add value through innovation.
  15. Provide support to other IT teams and developers.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.
