Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer III to join our Financial Crimes IT team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and upstream teams to understand the impacts of data source modernization. The role involves updating and building ETL data pipelines using Datastage and DBT to support Financial Crimes applications. The engineer will perform testing to ensure data quality and compliance with company and industry standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, construct, install, test, and maintain scalable data management systems.
• Develop high-performance algorithms, predictive models, and prototypes.
• Ensure all systems meet business, company, and industry requirements.
• Integrate emerging data management and software engineering technologies into existing structures.
• Develop processes for data mining, data modeling, and data production.
• Create custom software components and analytics applications.
• Research and recommend new uses for existing data.
• Utilize various technologies and tools to connect systems and enhance interoperability.
• Collaborate with data architects, IT teams, and data scientists to achieve project goals.
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery procedures.
• Continuously improve data reliability and quality.

Technical Skills

Must Have:

• Business Intelligence – Data Engineering
• ETL DataStage Development
• SQL
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members

Nice to Have:

• DBT
• Financial Crimes experience
• Snowflake

Minimum Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent related work experience
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, MongoDB, etc.)
• Experience programming and/or architecting backend languages (Java, J2EE, etc.)

Note: This position requires onsite presence; remote/virtual candidates will not be considered.
