Background
Client manages a 540 site Wide Area Network that supports all criminal justice agencies in the state of Florida. This network provides applications such as FCIC, BIS, CCH, SexPred, Missing Children and many other applications to users statewide. The network team researches, troubleshoots, provides support and configures this network daily.
Description of Services & Deliverables
Client requires the services of one Network Security Analyst to work under the direction of Client’s Network Supervisor to assist in developing Continuity of Operation and Disaster Recovery plans for all identified agency systems. The Security Analyst is expected to work with our staff to perform research, policy creation, conduct tabletop exercises and support staff in transferring knowledge in these areas.
Security Analyst responsibilities include:
• Establishing and continuously enhancing the Continuity of Operations (COOP) programs, plans and processes for FDLE in conjunction with the Information Security Manager.
• Establishing and continuously enhancing the Disaster programs (DR), plans and processes for Client in conjunction with the Information Security Manager.
• Establishing and continuously enhancing the Risk Management programs, plans, and processes in conjunction with the Information Security Manager.
• Research mandates regulations and rules for Information Security requirements for the agency.
• Conduct interviews and information gathering meetings.
• Lead tabletop exercises relating to COOP, Risk Management and DR in conjunction with the Information Security Manager.
• Establish applicable security policies and best practices.
Mandatory Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience;
• Minimum of 10+ years of IT work experience with demonstrated knowledge in architecture design, software development, database management systems and systems integration in multi-platform environments.
• Experience drafting policies, disaster recovery and continuity of operations plans.
• Experience in information gathering sessions for technical requirements and leading technical tabletop exercises.
• Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively with project team members and stakeholders
• Ability to deliver assignments within the agreed schedule and of effective quality
• Knowledge of problem-solving techniques
• Possess strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to communicate effectively; ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.
• Possess critical thinking and analytical abilities
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience;
Government, Law Enforcement, or Public Safety IT projects
