We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer with a strong background in the telecommunications industry and hands-on migration experience from Cherwell to ServiceNow. This role is critical in driving our enterprise ITSM modernization efforts as we transition from legacy systems to a robust ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate is technically adept, business-savvy, and comfortable taking ownership of full lifecycle development projects in a fast-paced telecom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the migration from Cherwell to ServiceNow, including data mapping, integration, and workflow recreation.
- Design, configure, and implement out-of-the-box and custom ServiceNow modules tailored to telecom operations.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and end users to gather requirements and deliver scalable, user-friendly solutions.
- Take ownership of platform administration, upgrades, and release management.
- Manage vendor relationships and troubleshoot underperforming partner engagements.
- Push back on technically unfeasible requirements and offer alternative, sustainable solutions.
- Serve as the technical lead on small, medium, and large projects, guiding cross-functional teams through implementation.
- Maintain strong alignment with ITSM best practices and telecom-specific needs, including Telecom Service Management (TSM), Telecom Inventory (TI), and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) modules.
- Monitor vendor-delivered components, ensure quality control, and coordinate with vendors for system updates and planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6-10 years of experience in IT operations, including application development and support roles with hands-on ServiceNow development and administration.
- Experience leading or contributing to a full migration from Cherwell to ServiceNow.
- Prior work in the telecommunications industry is required; strong understanding of telecom workflows and systems is essential.
