Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Developer with Azure expertise to design, develop, and maintain SQL databases and cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL development skills, experience with Azure SQL Database, Synapse, Data Factory, and a solid understanding of ETL, data modeling, and performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers for performance and scalability.
Develop and manage Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Factory for cloud-based data solutions.
Implement ETL processes using Azure Data Factory (ADF), SSIS, or other tools to ingest and transform data.
Optimize database performance, indexing strategies, and query tuning for high availability and scalability.
Design and maintain data models, schemas, and database structures to support business needs.
Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with industry standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, BI developers, and cloud architects.
Work with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Azure DevOps, Git) for database deployments.
Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards (if applicable).

Required Skills & Experience:

7+ years of experience in SQL development, including T-SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization.
Strong experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
Experience in data warehousing, ETL development, and cloud-based data solutions.
Proficiency in performance tuning, indexing strategies, and troubleshooting slow queries.
Hands-on experience with SSIS, SSRS, or Power BI (preferred).
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Git for database deployments.
Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and best practices in cloud environments.
Experience with Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languages for automation is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate).
Knowledge of NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB), Databricks, or machine learning models is a plus.
Experience in data governance, data quality, and metadata management.
